The site
I designed and built this site for Grim Lucius around his music and artwork. The goal was to keep everything in one place without putting much between someone finding an album and actually listening to it.
What I built
A single dark editorial page built around the current release, with the discography, the videos and the follow links all one anchor away on the same page.
- Discography as an accordion: five albums, each expanding to Apple Music and Spotify
- A video section collecting the music videos in one place
- Streaming as the primary call to action, repeated only where it is useful
- Skip link and labeled controls, so it works without a mouse
Why it's here
Most of the things on this site are projects I made for myself. This one was different because I was building around somebody else's work. The design needed to feel like it belonged to Grim Lucius, while still making the music, albums and videos easy to find.
